|Description||One round, white cotton doily with 16 embroidery work flowers around edges that create scallops. The scalloped areas are also embellished with white applied braidwork (somewhat spiralling patterns). Embroidered on the solid white ground are five-leafed fronds? also in white.|
Originally belonged to, and may have been made by, Mrs. Gideon Carrie. Mrs. Carrie farmed in Sydenham Township, Grey County in the 19th-century.
Later owned by her granddaughter, Agnes Smith (née McQuaker), who inherited a number of items that had formerly belonged to her grandmother.
