|Description||Shoulder bag issued to a Canadian Women's Army Corps (C.W.A.C.), W.W.#2. It is a woman's light khaki denim shoulder bag, with dark brown leather trim. It is a zippered bag, and has a long dark brown leather strap with adjustment buckles. The bag is marked with "W22615 Henry A. M." (this personalizes it) and the maker's mark is HUGH GASSON CO. LTD. 1945.|

Owned by/issued to A. May Henry who came from the Chatsworth area of Grey County. During the Second World War, she joined the Canadian Army Women's Corps [C.W.A.C.], which was created in 1941, and disbanded in 1946. She enlisted in Toronto in 1944. She served at Halifax, with her last rank that of Captain. She was discharged in Oakville, Ontario in July of 1946.
