Description 10" x 13" baseboard register grate from late 19th or early 20th century. This is a fancy cast iron wall-style heating register (a heating equipment item, likely from a house?). The register has a fancy, symmetrical, openwork casting for its vent area. Its casting pattern matches two other registers that have been kept with it over the years and that apparently were made at the same foundry. The back side is emboss-cast with "10 x 13" and "10" and "13", but no maker's name or logo is seen. It has a separating crack at the bottom central area that detracts slightly.

Provenance Original provenance unknown. Last owned by Mr. S. Alburn Richards of Owen Sound, Grey County.
