Description GOLDEN SHELL gallon-sized motor oil can. This can is rectangular with yellow, red and white printing. The front and the back of the can have the same design - a yellow background with "GOLDEN SHELL MOTOR OIL" in red text and a red band running near the base. On the front, back, and sides of the can, the Shell logo is positioned somewhere along this continuous red band. Smaller red text on the front and back reads, "One Imperial Gallon" and "S.A.E. 20." The top of the can has a handle placed on the diagonal and a filler cap.
Provenance Unknown provenance. Last belonged Gilbert Rice. Rice grew up in Massie, in Holland Township, Grey County. His father was George Rice. Gilbert became a mechanic and a member of the Bluewater branch of the Antique & Classic Car Club of Canada.
