|Title||Woollen Sleeves for a Cape|
|Lexicon category||3: Personal Artifacts|
|Place of Origin||Unknown|
|Description||One pair of brown sleeves (elbow to wrist length) to wear with 1957.015.008 (see RELATED). Felt? exterior and satin? interior. Rust-coloured cord is sewn to the exterior elbow of each to keep them together.|
Previously owned by Jacqueline E. Kennedy, resided at Owen Sound, Ontario at the time of the donation in 1957. She did not provide information about who wore this sleeves, which were worn in conjunction with a lady's brown wool shoulder cape that was donated at the same time.
Jacqueline Kennedy was likely of the D. J. Kennedy family of Owen Sound, Ontario, as her 1957 address is the same as that of Mrs. D. J. Kennedy in the 1946 Owen Sound telephone directory: 854 2nd Ave. West. D. J. Kennedy is listed at the same address in 1917, so the family lived there a long time.
