Description Pair of brown high-topped lady's boots, c. 1915. They are brown leather high-topped, lace-up boots with very-pointed toes and Queen heel. Style 1219 (the inside area has "3 1/2 D 1219" marked). They have 17 holes for the laces, which are brown shoestring ones and a fine leather sole. The heel is 6.9 cm high. They are lined inside with heavy white cotton fabric. There is also a furry pile material present inside the heel area.
Provenance It is not known where these shoes were manufactured. The donor told the museum staff in 1959 that they are c. 1915.
