Description A 19th century molding plane - one of a set. Part of the plane may be missing.
Provenance The last owner, George A. Ducker, resided at Owen Sound, Grey County. He reported that this 19th-century plane had originally belonged to his grandfather, Henry Van Dusen [Vandusan] (1860-1880) and estimated in 1959 that they were 80 to 100 years old.
During this time period carpenters would have likely made all of their own moulding planes (no factories to do it).
