Description Round-lensed spectacles and their spectacles case. The lenses are 4.2 cm in diameter and are metal-framed, with nose clips. The eyeglasses are accompanied with the original black-coloured spectacle case with a cleaning cloth. The case is hinged and is 13.3 cm x 6 cm x 1.5 cm. The case identifies the optometrist as W. K. Weppler.

Provenance Dispensed by W. K. Weppler of Grey County. In the 1914 VERNON'S DIRECTORY OF BRUCE, GREY AND SIMCOE, W. K. Weppler of Hanover, Grey County, is listed as a "Jeweler," however, jewellery stores and drug stores often dispensed spectacles as a side-line. Mr. Weppler sold his optical business in June, 1948.
