Place of Origin Sullivan Township (formerly), Township of Chatsworth, Grey County
Description Man's brown, doublebreasted waistcoat from 1876. The front has a pattern and sparkly sheen and six cloth-covered buttons. There is black patterned cloth on the front and plain brown cloth on the back. This waistcoat has a rounded shawl lapel, with two pockets on either side below it. The tie in the back is also made with the same brown cloth as the back.
Provenance Manufacturer unknown.

This waistcoat belonged to Thomas Duff and were worn on the occasion of his marriage to Catherine McKenzie on March 22, 1876.

The last owners were their daughters, Annie M. Duff of Niagara Falls, Ontario, and her sister, Mrs. Herbert Withers of Glenville, West Virginia.
