Provenance This purse originated from the Estate of Mrs. Gideon Carrie. Mrs. Carrie was a grandmother of Mrs. Frank Smith (nee Agnes McQuaker) of Owen Sound, Ontario. We do not know if she was the first person to have owned it, or what its age is. It is very likely a Victorian (pre-1901) item. Gideon Carrie was a pioneer in Sydenham Township, Grey County.
