Description Slip for a Christening dress? Very long-skirted sleeveless slip. Wide eyelet bottom with insertion of tuck and eyelet. Lace trim at neck and sleeve opening edges. Tie closure. Firm cotton. Machine sewing seen.
Provenance Unknown. Last owned by Rita Pratt (neé Neelin) who suggested that it is c. 1870.

Rita was married to Dr. Charles Pratt. He was born in Louise, near Elmwood, in Grey County.
One of Rita Pratt's grandmothers was Ann Logan (married to John Logan).
