Man's natural Italian-made straw boater hat with tan ribbon. It is 34 cm x 30 cm x 8 cm
Made in Italy (see faint label inside). It has a beige grosgrain ribbon with a flattish bow. There is a tan-coloured leather sweatband on the interior.

This item was made in Italy. Perhaps pre-dates the First World War (1914-1918)? It is not known who originally wore this hat. Its deep crown suggests the early 20th-century.
Last owned by Mrs. Howard Bumstead, of Owen Sound, Grey County, in the 1950s.
