Description German-made bisque-head and hand doll with closable eyes, long brown hair and jointed kid leather body. Doll has a hand-stitched white cotton dress, white cotton chemise, white cotton hat with string tassel, one pair of pink stockings, one pink paper shoe (other one is missing). The back of the head has "Made in Germany 275-70-" impressed.
Provenance Likely owned/used by Jean Root (neƩ Annie Jean Tucker) of Owen Sound when she was a little girl. She was born in November, 1912, and later resided at 504 14th St. West, and attended Victoria Public School.
