Object Name Hook, Crochet
Lexicon category 4: T&E For Materials
Made Western
Place of Origin Unknown
Description Crochet hook, with a flattish, round, shiny black head (this item was formerly numbered 966.2.8c with a tag and was thought to be a hat pin, but it actually has a tiny crochet hook working end.). It almost seems like a lady's hat pin, but it isn't. It is intended for doing very fine crochetwork, as the hook is very small. There is no maker's name present.
Provenance The item likely belonged to a member of either the Butchart or Danard families of Owen Sound, Grey County. Last owned by George Webster Butchart.
