Description One cake plate commemorating King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, 1937. The plate is white with gold edges. It has two slight protrusions that provide self handles for carrying the plate. The back of the plate is stamped "Sovereign Potters". There is a coloured transfer print of the King and Queen and flags underneath a crown centrally. The perimeter of the plate is fluted on the top.
Makers mark "Sovereign Potters"
Provenance The 1937 cake plate belonged to Amy Ankcorn of Owen Sound, Ontario. It was manufactured at Hamilton, Ontario by Sovereign Potters.
