Description This is a wire-made egg basket, with a honeycomb-style mesh. The carrying handle is also made of wire. There is no maker's identification. It was used in the 19th-century at Owen Sound, Ont. The white paint finish is not original to it.

Provenance likely belonged to either the Lister family or the Miller family of Owen Sound in the 19th-century. It later belonged to Mary Miller who worked as a kindergarten teacher in Owen Sound. "Mary Miller Park" is named after her.
