Description One of eleven white and dark blue tea plates with the Yuan (good luck) design - a floral design on the rim and a stork and floral design in the centre of the plate. Reverse is stamped "YUAN" with a stork and "Wood & Sons / England / RN No 656368.".
Provenance Manufactured at WOOD & SONS which was located at Trent and New Wharf Potteries, Burslem, Staffordshire Potteries, from 1865 on. The printed mark between 1891-1907 had "Wood & Son", while after 1907, the mark had "Wood & Sons". The word "Ltd." was added to the mark c. 1910. Therefore this shallow soup bowl, from the appearance of its mark, would date to between 1907-1910.

Owned by the T. Dowsley Kennedy family of 645 2nd Ave. West, Owen Sound, Grey County.

Last owned by their daughter, Catherine "Kay" McKie of Guelph, Ontario, who found it when cleaning out her parent's house.
