Previously owned by Mrs. Frank W. Smith of Owen Sound, Ontario, who was a grand-daughter of Mrs. Gideon Carrie, who farmed in Sydenham Township, Grey County. Mrs. Smith was the former Agnes McQuaker, daughter of John McQuaker and a Miss Carrie. Mrs. Smith had inherited a number of vintage textiles that had belonged to her grandmother, Mrs. Carrie.
Mrs. Carrie's husband, Gideon, was 42 years old in the 1871 census of Sydenham Township, Grey County. Mrs. Carrie's maiden name was _______.
