Description Milk glass glove box (a) and lid (b). It is rectangular in shape, with white milk glass that is moulded with a fancy design along the edges. The moulded edges are embellished with some greenish paint. Someone has also hand-painted "Gloves" on an angle on the lid. It looks like there were once some floral designs hand-painted as well, but they are worn. No maker's identification. The lid is designed to sit on top of the box part, without any fasteners.
Provenance Maker and original provenance unknown. Found amidst the Estate items of Edna Evans of Owen Sound, Grey County. Her parents were W. P. Evans and Elizabeth Evans (nee Hearst) of Owen Sound.
