Description 18-sided multi-coloured velvet pincushion for hat pins. Each side is a triangle and the seams between the triangles have white beads pinned along them. The corners where five triangles come together there are loops of white beads and a ring of beads in the centre, making something like a floppy five petalled flower. Colours include brown, royal blue, pink, red, forest green, light blue, black, maroon and purple.
Provenance Unknown. Last owned by Margaret Stewart (neƩ Lauder) whose family had connections to the Durham area of Grey County.
