Description This is a tow truck's windlass and boom, very likely from the 1930s. It is a steel and iron. item that has been painted black all over. Its manufacturer is unknown. This windlass and boom was eventually added to the museum's 1936 Chevrolet Tow Truck in 2010. It lacks a crank handle.

Provenance Unknown. Last owned by Allan Patterson who worked at "Al & El's Garage" at Palmerston, Ontario. He told museum staff that the windlass and boom dates from the 1930s.
