Description Wooden food mallet. There is no maker's identification present. It can be hung up when not needed. The wood has a brown finish on it.
Provenance Unknown. Likely 19th-century. Previously owned by Jean Reid (nee Jean Givens). Her husband was William G. Reid. Jean's parents were Mr. and Mrs. James and Mary Ann Givens, who farmed in the Massie district of Holland Township, Grey County. They were married in 1898.
