Description This is an inverted cone-shaped measuring glass (medicine glass) from CAMERON'S DRUG STORE. It advertises "CAMERON'S ASTHMA CURE" in embossed lettering on the round base, so that it can be read while drinking out of the glass or looking down upon it. It has a capacity of 8 teaspoons or 2 tablespoons, marked with lines on one side. It is made of colourless glass.
Provenance Created for/came from the Cameron's Drug Store business of Owen Sound, Grey County. In the early 20th-century, this business was located along Main Street. It is unknown which glassmaker made these for the Cameron business. Dr. Allan Cameron, and sons D. A. Cameron and James Cameron were involved with this business.
