Description Cast iron, two-piece ceiling hook for hanging a kerosene lamp, patented in April of 1872. It has a threaded (screw-like) area for insertion into the ceiling (into a piece of wood sturdy enough to support the weight of the lamp). The round plate is 6 cm in diameter. The casting is decorative.
