Description This is a china cup and saucer set, decorated with images of King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra. The cup and saucer have glazed white bodies, with colourful transfer-printed portraits of the King & Queen. The King's portrait is printed on one side of the cup, with the caption "H. M. KING EDWARD VII". The other side of the cup has a large transfer print of his coat of arms. The saucer has the portrait of Queen Alexandra. The saucer has a plain gold-painted edge border line.
Provenance Previously owned by Mrs. Reg Gill who resided in Owen Sound, Ontario in 1957. The coronation of King Edward VII occurred in 1902. His mother, Queen Victoria, died in 1901.
