Hotel room key, still attached to a white-printed, robin's egg-blue, moulded plastic key tag. The tag is printed: "QUEEN'S / HOTEL / OWEN SOUND, ONT. / 5 / DROP IN ANY MAIL BOX / WE GUARANTEE POSTAGE". The last two lines are in a circular design, with three stars at the bottom. The door key has a HUDSON LOCK INC. mark, which includes "999". The number "5" is also stamped onto the key.

This 20th-century key used to be used for Room 5 at the Queen's Hotel, which was a long-established 1870s+ brick hotel building located at the southeast corner of 3rd Ave. East and 8th St. East, Owen Sound, Ontario.
