The Ansonia Brass Company was formed in 1850 in Ansonia, Connecticut. In 1851, the name became The Ansonia Clock Company. The company started manufacturing in New York in the late 1870s. Ansonia clocks that are marked with Connecticut generally pre-date 1880. Many of their clocks were also retailed in Canada. |
