Oscar Broadhead was born in Cardiff, and emigrated to Canada with his family in 1____. In the 1911 census, the Broadhead family were at __________. Oscar Broadhead was a member of the 147th Grey (Overseas) Battalion, which was raised in 1915 and early 1916, and left in 1916 for England. He had attested to the 147th on March 13, 1916 at Owen Sound. He was an un-married Labourer, whose next-of-kin was his mother, Annie Marie Broadhead, of 2046 7th Ave. West. He was a Stretcher-Bearer when he was with the 147th. The 147th was put into the 8th Reserve Battalion after they reached England and its men and officers were transferred into other units. Oscar then joined the ...... on _______ 1917. In later years, Mr. Broadhead belonged to the 147th Grey Battalion Association at Owen Sound.
