C. G. "Kip" Fleming was a grandson of Mr. C. A. Fleming (1857-1945) and also was descended from the Alexander and Jean Fleming (Stewart) family who had settled at Kilsyth at Lot 10, Concession 6 Derby Township, in 1850. He inherited a number of family heirlooms from his grandfather, and father, and also wrote a history book about the Fleming family in 1994. He was born in 1929 and grew up in Owen Sound, leaving for a few years to attend the University of Toronto. In 1951, he received a B.A. in Economics and Political Science. He then came home to work for RBW. In 1956, he was appointed Assistant to the General Manager, and later was promoted to General Manager. On May 19, 1969, Kip Fleming was appointed President and General Manager of RBW. He retired from RBW in 1976. 1995.020.001 Fleming family history book by C. G.
