Notes |
Charles Gordon was a nephew of Thomas Gordon, who had served as Owen Sound's first Town Clerk. Charles Gordon was pictured in a 1912 Town Council photograph of Owen Sound (shown holding a pen). This image might not be in the Grey County Archives yet. Owen Sound did not become a City until 1920, so these gentlemen were known as "Town Clerks" in their day. There is an image of Owen Sound's City Council in 1920, that includes Charles Gordon (see 1960.057.001). |
