See the editions of the NORTHERN TERMINUS publication at the Grey County Archives, as they mention the B.M.E. Church at Owen Sound. Also see Melba Croft's book, FOURTH ENTRANCE TO HURONIA. Thomas Henry Miller was a local preacher (lay minister) at times. His 1850s Bible is in the Grey Roots collection, and there is an image of him when he was elderly, seated in a chair. Rev. Albert Holden was the minister at the B.M.E. circa 1892. The church congregation had different buildings used over the years. The first one, a log building, was also known as "Little Zion" in the 1850s. It was near the Sydenham River. |
