Provenance |
Last owned by Stanley Michael who was related to George Michael and Sarah Michael of Sydenham Township, Grey County. There was a Michael family farm. Stan worked at Wm. Kennedy & Sons foundry in Owen Sound, and later had a barbershop in Leith, Grey County, where he liked to display vintage items. In 1971, Stanley and his wife, Islay, resided at RR#6, Owen Sound, which was a Sydenham Township address. The size of the picture suggests that it was not a household picture, but perhaps was displayed somewhere as a promotional item. |
