Provenance |
Last owned by Nellie Arnold (née Ryan) who was married to George Arnold. Thomas Ryan was her grandfather and the area's first school inspector. The second inspector for schools in Grey County was Neil W. Campbell, who lived at Durham. He is listed as such in the Owen Sound city directory of 1902-1904 under County officials. A Mr. Pentland and a Mr. Wright also served as Inspectors, but whether in South or North Grey, Mrs. Arnold is not sure. |
