Lady's full-length white cotton dressing gown with long sleeves, and is decorated with ruching and eyelet-lace trim. This garment is long and loose-fitting. The front of the dressing gown is open, with about a dozen buttons that run from the throat to the hem. The small, stand-up collar is trimmed with a thin length of lace that follows the outer edge of the front opening to the hem, and is fitted the the wearer's neck and is closed with a button. The front of the garment is decorated with two ruched panels on either side of the button-down opening, each seperated by a length of eyelet-lace. This decoration extends from the neck and shoulders down to the hem. The sleeves are full and are gathered into a thick cuff at the wrist that is decorated in the same lace and ruching method as the front of the garment. Each cuff has a small button closure. |
