                                Description | 
                                Man's light-grey, woollen baseball uniform jersey. It has a blue satin number "14" machine-appliqued on the back. It fastens with grey plastic buttons. The front has the word "Ayton" applied in bright-blue machine embroidery. There is blue cloth tape trim embellishing the front of the jersey and the ends of the short sleeves. There is a Varsity SPORTS CENTRE LTD. maker's label inside, as well as a red and white "42" size label. See RELATED. |

                                    Manufactured by Varsity Sports Center Limited.  Dates to circa 1951. Belonged to William "Bill" L. Brusso, who was a long-time Clerk-Treasurer of Normanby Township, Grey County. He played baseball and hockey on Ayton teams in the 20th-century. He died in 1988 and his wife, Verna Brusso (née Becker), succeeded him as Clerk. Last owned by Verna Brusso of Ayton, Grey County.  |
