Provenance |
Made by William James Meikle, at the Meikle Stained Glass Studio in Toronto, Ontario in 1949 for the Desboro United Church, Grey County. Paid for by (congregation members) Mr. and Mrs. W. A. McGregor. With a steady decline in its congregation, the Desboro United church congregation amalgamated with Chalmers' United Church Keady in 2003. The final service at Desboro United was held Sunday, May 28, 2006. This is from a group of seven windows in the church which were removed from the building on April 25 and May 2, 2009, by Garlan Stained Glass of Markdale prior to the church's sale. |
