Description |
Light-brown, khaki cotton Boy Scout uniform shirt. Its woven label reads: "Official Design / From / THE STORES DEPARTMENT / THE BOY SCOUTS ASSOCIATION / OTTAWA-CANADA". The shirt is pull-over-style, with a front placket that fastens with three convex, brown plastic (possibly Bakelite) buttons. They are moulded with a fleur-de-lis pattern. The buttons have metal loop shanks, and their backs are moulded with "RICHTER / CANADA". There are similar buttons on the two chest pockets, and at the cuffs and shoulder straps. There are two machine-embroidered emblem patches appliqued onto the wearer's left side. "BOY SCOUTS - CANADA" is machine-embroidered in red on a rectangular patch above the wearer's right chest pocket. There is a cream-coloured, woven tape piece appliqued to the left chest pocket. |
