Description |
Child's combination high chair and rolling chair. It has four cast iron wheels and dark brown finish on the wooden components. The seat and seat back are rattan. No maker's name observed. In the rolling position it is much shorter than in the feeding position. The chair has a feeding tray that sits on the arms when in front, but swings up over the child and rests on the chair's back (vertical) when not in use. |

Maker unknown. James Cameron MacLeod, who was born at Leith, Sydenham Township, Grey County, on November 22, 1889, used this chair when he was a baby. He and his wife later used the chair for their two sons when they lived in Sault Ste. Marie. Last owned by Rose McLeod of RR#4, Owen Sound, Grey County. |
