Description |
Short white cotton pique girl's dress with short sleeves, scalloped edges, and white embroidery on sleeves, bib, ribbon loops, and pockets. Closes with two buttons in rear. The waistline slits are intended to have a coloured ribbon strung through them for decoration. The ribbon would be withdrawn when the garment was laundered. |

Maker unknown. The dress was worn in Owen Sound, Grey County by Helen Hindman when she was a girl. She later married Mr. Parker Evans and resided at RR#2, Owen Sound. Her parents were Captain George Hindman, and Blanche (Proctor) Hindman. |
