Description |
Shield-shaped Grey County Constable's badge. There is a shiny, silvertone front side that is slightly convex. There is black-coloured lettering in three lines: "COUNTY / CONSTABLE / GREY". The letters are about 0.5 cm high. The reverse side has a pinstem and a tiny stamped manufacturer's mark of "TROPHY-CRAFT" (Toronto). |

Provenance |
Made by Trophy-Craft. Belonged to the County of Grey. It is not known which constables used it, but it eventually was returned to the County's administration building and kept in a vault for many years. The former County administration building is located in Owen Sound, Grey County, along 3rd Ave. East. The item subsequently belonged to the Corporation of the County of Grey. |
