Provenance |
Previously owned by Amy Kennedy who resided at Inglis Falls, in Derby Township, Grey County, and also at Owen Sound, Grey County. She was descended from Mr. and Mrs. Peter Inglis through her mother, Helen (Mrs. Thomas) Kennedy, and also from the Wm. & Agnes (Stark) Kennedy family of Owen Sound. The item has a 19th-century, Victorian appearance to it. Her father died in 1878. This bookmark is mounted together with some other samplers and bookmarks that likely were worked by Miss Isabella Inglis before she died (c. 1882-1883). She was Amy Kennedy's aunt. |
