Description |
Beige ceramic teacup (a) and saucer (b). It is part of a child's tea set (see RELATED items). The underside of the saucer has an impressed mark from the J. & G. Meakin pottery. The cup was originally white, but now is quite discoloured and crazed. |

Provenance |
Likely originally belonged to Helen Kennedy (née Inglis) as a child. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Inglis, who had Inglis Falls at Derby Township, Grey County. She married Thomas Kennedy of Owen Sound. Thomas Kennedy passed away in 1878. Helen Kennedy d. 1924, age 77. This suggests that Helen was born circa 1847. Subsequently owned by Helen's daughter, Amy Kennedy. |
