Description |
Wooden cradle with solid sides. The curved head is taller than the curved foot. Rockers were attached to bottom. It is likely made of pine, and has a reddish finish. |

Provenance |
Likely made by Richard Dales. Dates to between 1866 and 1868. Michele Gare told museum staff that it belonged to James Albert Dales. He was born in 1867, and it was made to hold him when he was a baby. He was the eldest of a large family. Subsequently belonged to Mary Lu MacDonald. According to Michele Gare, "the Dales Family resided in Euphrasia Township, Grey County." Last owned by Michele Gare of Toronto, Ontario. |
