Function |
The bag likely was used to carry two heavy wooden lawn bowling bowls (look like balls, but are called bowls). It was found in a cache of vintage lawn bowling equipment when renovations were made to the attic area of the Roselawn Lawn Bowling Club's clubhouse building at Owen Sound. Each player needed four bowls when playing a game. In 1947, there were 72 members in the club. In 1968, there were about 115 members. |
