Provenance |
Manufactured and custom-printed at the Dominion Regalia Company Ltd. of Toronto. Used at Jackson, Derby Township, Grey County, by a member of the Loyal Orange Lodge No. 1247. This Loyal Orange Lodge received its charter in August of 1867, and disbanded in 1931. It likely belonged to William Hewitson (the second), who had been raised at Jackson, where the Hewitson family homestead was, or one of his relatives. There was a W. W. Hewitson who was a member of No. 1247 circa 1904. William Hewitson the 2nd later moved in 1919 to Annan, Sydenham Township to farm there, and retired to Owen Sound. Last owned by Robert and Myrna Hewitson of Annan, Grey County. |
