Woman's black, rounded, lined apron, with black lace trim - 1850's style. Lace trim is about 3 cm wide, and floral. Waist band fastens on left hip with a button. |

Unknown maker. Previously owned by Jessie MacKay. Ms. MacKay's mother was a McElheron before her marriage. MacKay's grandparents farmed in Sydenham Township, Grey County. The item likely dates from the 1850s? Neil and Hugh McElheron originated from Ireland and are related to the McClartys. The McElherons spent some time in the United States before they moved to Grey County. |
