Description |
Very simple quadruple silver plated Communion pitcher. This is part of a Communion set (see RELATED for other objects in this set). It is stamped "Simpson, Hall, Miller & Co. / Quadruple plate" on the bottom. The flagon has a round base. It has some cast decor underneath the spout. The hinged lid has a finial on top. |

Provenance |
The flagon is from a Communion set formerly used at the Crawford Presbyterian Church, 1879, in Bentinck Township, Grey County. It was made by the Simpson, Hall, Miller & Co. factory. This silverware company was located at Wallingford, Connecticut and was organized in 1866 by Mr. Samuel Simpson. It was absorbed into the International Silver Co. in 1898. |
