A sheer pale orange crepe handkerchief (now very frayed), with hand-made crocheted on white tape trim in a repeated circles pattern. See Related for the going-away dress set that she likely kept this with in 1929, as it has a pale orange colouration as well. |

Trousseau item of Katharine Brownlee (nee Frizzell) of Bognor. Made by/belonged to Katharine Crawford Frizzell, a schoolteacher from Bognor, Sydenham Township, Grey County. She married Reverend Stuart Henry Brownlee at St. George's Anglican Church, in Owen Sound, Grey County, on August 14, 1929, at twelve o'clock (noon). The Brownlees resided at Kerrwood, Ontario. Around 1963, Katharine Brownlee worked in Huron County. The item was passed on to her son, John S. Brownlee, QC., who kept it in Calgary, Alberta. It was sent back to Grey County in January, 2017. |
