Description |
Folk art carving of a red water wagon drawn by a team of two horses. It is made of painted wood. The horses are brown, with light-brown manes and tails made of hair. Their eyes, nostrils and mouths are red, and they have white stripes on their faces. They have white mid-way up their legs. They wear black leather harnesses with collars around their necks, which are attached to the red centre shaft of the wagon. The collars and bridles have red yarn on the ends (dress tack and harness). The reins attached to the horses' bridles are made of string, and are knotted and resting at the top of the wagon. The wagon is red, with black details. The water tank at the top of the wagon is black and has a hose which rests on the right side of the wagon. There are two black-rimmed wheels at the back and two smaller, black-rimmed wheels at the front. The wagon and horses are mounted on a wooden base with a light-brown varnish. |
