Description |
These are folding reading glasses, that have gold-tone rims and some black cord. This pair of reading glasses pivots, and folds over and clips to form one single lens for storage in one's pocket. There is a small metal clasp hanging from the left lens to attach a length of cord. The frame has ornate patterning. |

Originally belonged to belonged to Isabella Ainslie (neé Miller, d.1918), when she lived at Galt (the Ainslies later moved to the village of Leith in Grey County in 1858). Subsequently owned by her maternal grand-daughter, Eleanor Rixon, who resided at Owen Sound, Grey County in the house where her parents had formerly resided (894 5th Ave. East). |
